Help Recruit New Members

USC Alpha Epsilon Chapter has been one of the largest among more than 600 other PDK International Chapters. Recently, we have fallen from over 1,100 members to nearly 600 active members. Formerly, we used to have three initiations per year: fall, spring, and summer, with about 35 new members and elaborate ceremonies at the Campus Methodist Church.

We must reestablish what we have lost! Getting new members and retaining others is the responsibility of every current member. Our President, Dan Basalone, passed out membership applications at the recent Steak Bake, and as a result, we already have applications submitted for this year. Let’s follow in his footsteps and help recruit more members. We have an exciting year planned with outstanding speakers, including those lined up for our USC Faculty Night. Don’t let your colleagues and friends miss out on this wonderful opportunity.

The time is now… obtain blank membership applications from your President or the Dean’s Office, and get those new members!

Who Can Join?

Membership is open to professional educators and other individuals and institutions of good character who are committed to PDK's purpose.

Application is by nomination by good -standing members or by self-nomination.

Individuals may join a chapter or become a direct member without chapter affiliation.

The member commits to affiliation with PDK and support of the association's purpose.

Membership Options

Professional Membership

Designed for individuals whoare in the education profession, or are in or have successfully completed a student teaching or graduate program.

Undergraduate Student Membership

To qualify for this special membership, you must be enrolled in an accredited education program and make application prior to student teaching. An individual who is engaged in or has completed student teaching is eligible for professional membership status.

Associate Membership

If you are not in the education profession, but want to stay informed and want to help others to be informed about the issues in education, then an associate membership is for you!
